At Home Freelancer

I have recently visited a site to find work from home. They wanted my address to have mail sent to that I would then log in and record. I would keep this mail for several months and then destroy it. Has anyone heard of anything like this? It seems strange that you would have mail sent somewhere else to record that never gets read. I thought I had seen every type of work from home option out there but this is new to me. I did not apply for it because it seems so strange. I hope it was good for me to follow my instincts and not give them my info. If anyone has heard of this can I get some feedback please.

Also in my quest to find a work from home position I found a site that offers no fee work from home, (this is actually what I typed into google search)-most of the placements wanted you to be in their area or at least from the US. I will keep looking for that dream placement, eventually if I turn over enough stones I will find something. Are there any Canadian companies offering work from home options? If anyone knows of any I would appreciate the tip.
