Thoughts on Winter Driving.

Published by carfor12 at 12:01 pm under Uncategorized Edit This

Well we had some freezing rain last night in our area, which made the roads very slippery. I am not sure what happens to people when they get into their vehicles which turns them blind to, or unaware of things around them. It happens every winter, people get into accidents or skid off the road when it is icy and then they come up with a strange excuse why it happened. Last night was no exception, according to my husband. A vehicle had gone off the road because of the freezing rain and the slippery road, the driver offered the excuse that he did not know of this condition because he did not listen to the radio or news while driving, he has a cd player!

Now correct me if I am wrong, but do we not use our eyes to see with while driving. Ears are for hearing. You do not need to be listening to the news to seeĀ freezing rain coming down around you. So my thoughts on winter driving and really while doing any driving is to be aware of the conditions around you. If you are listening to your cd player and have your eyes closed I suggest you turn off the cd player and open your eyes. The life you save may be your own.
