Brain Rewiring! Would You Use It To Cure Your Depression?

Published by carfor12 at 2:59 pm under Uncategorized Edit This

This weekend I spent some time looking through some of my magazines for some inspiration on what I could write about on my blogs. I have been feeling a little depressed with trying to find a work from home gig, and although I like writing, and blogging seems to allow me an outlet for this I am finding out that unless you spend an exorbitant amount of time doing this your income will not be much. I found an article which was quite interesting for me. It dealt with brain rewiring as a technique for curing depression. Known as rTMS this essentially rearranges the pathways of the brain by using magnets. I am not really fond of the idea of using drugs for depression so I am not sure I would ever try this. The article does state that they only use brain rewiring in cases where the depression is great and has not responded to drug therapies. They also can use rTMS for everything from strokes to depression. Brain rewiring also seems to be very expensive, one patient pays $8400.00 per year.

Has anyone else ever heard of this technique? Would you try it? Leave me a comment and let me know what your views are on this.

never heard of it, wouldn’t try it. We battle depression in different ways because none of us are made the same. I don’t believe any “rewireing” is a cure, just a temporary set back of feelings. depression is best cured when we find what triggers it for ourselves.

I haven’t heard of this, but I think if you are afraid of depression, you need to go out into the sunshine as you can. Light heals the brain in ways we don’t understand.

Right now online work is tough to find that pays well. I think someday it will be a great place to work for many more people. Good luck to you and work on that depression. If you are looking for work, that hangs like a cloud on you. Gotta beat it, buddy.
