Are you being held back from success or getting what you want from life by your disbelief in yourself? How do you do this? These are two good questions. Our belief system, that is what we believe about ourselves, may be holding us back from a wonderful life. The sometimes seemingly small things we tell ourselves such as “I am not good enough”, “I only want enough to get by on”, or “I can’t do this” are all the ways in which our belief system can keep us from achieving success.

If we believe we are holding ourselves back in life, we need to change our self-doubts and the small messages we tell ourselves. It is simply a matter of changing the message from, for example, “I am not good enough” to “I deserve this”.  Another example of how we hold ourselves back is when we tell ourselves we only want enough to get by on and then somehow that is all we get. We are constantly behind in making payments. How do we change this? Start by figuring out how much we really need  to meet our financial needs and add in whatever extra we want, for example, “I want the finances to be financially independent”. “I will acquire the finances I need to take my family on a tropical vacation”.

Having said this I also want to caution that it is not enough just to say these things to ourselves, we need to also take action to get where we want to be.  Start off by setting some goals and write down what we want and how we intend to get there. If we keep believing in ourselves we will eventually get the prize we desire!

Today I spent some time actually searching for online work from home jobs. Wow nothing new here, same types of online work from home jobs now as before. Most of them are no doubt “scams” if I dare to use that word. Most of the ones I looked at wanted money to join, get a list, or get you started. The wording changes but the premise stays the same. They all ask for money upfront (some as high as $44.95) to send you something that may or may not work for you. I will leave a list of the sites I visited today at the end of this post, you may find something that sparks an interest in you or you may have the money to send to someone you don’t know for a job that is not guaranteed and you don’t have yet.

In my search I did look once again at something I have looked at before, the “Google Money Making System”. They get you to post websites you visit on google. It asks only for $1.95 for shipping and handling. I decided today I was going to send for this package. Well to get this you need a credit card. I don’t have one to use. I was hoping they would use paypal. So I guess that this is out for me anyway, at least until Google changes their payment system. It strikes me as funny that Google would not use paypal.

I want to take some time today to explore success. What does success mean to you? Do you want to be successful?

During my online search for success I found a Success University. Yes that is correct you can now enroll in Success University. They require a donation and then they will show you how to become successful. I have left a link on my “Interesting Sites I Have Visited” page if you want to take a look.

I don’t know if I need to pay a university for something I can get by reading a book I can get from a library for free, and there are a lot of them out there. For example “The Law of Attraction”, “The Secret”, and “Harmonic Wealth” just to name three. What I have found for myself to be successful the one thing I must do is retrain my mind. I need to tell myself that I can. The law of attraction states that what we put out we receive back to us. Well if that is the case I need to start putting out a great deal of “I Cans”.  I can generate income from home by blogging. I can generate income from home by writing articles. In order to accomplish this I do need to invest some time and effort. In the end it is what I tell myself that will either create success or create failure.

What would be so bad about failing anyway? I will have learned something in the process, perhaps something I can take with me on other endeavors. I will most definitely need to pick myself up and try again. Is that so bad? No I don’t think so. I should never let my fear of failing keep me from trying something new. That is my definition of success-not letting fear of failure keep me from trying. After all is that not what life is all about?

I just wanted to do a quick follow up on my previous post. I tried to generate blog traffic by using google keyword search and did a post on generating traffic. Well  it seems to have worked. It did get  me more traffic to this blog. I also  got comments about StumbleUpon, which I did not know  much about. Thank you, it seems I may want to try StumbleUpon (just to see how it works).

I also wanted to do a quick review on how other avenues of generating income from home are working for me. Some time ago I had submitted one of my other blogs to Payperpost. I was told then that the blog was not old enough for them. I told myself that I would check back later and see if I could get something going with them. Well, I forgot about Payperpost until today. So today I resubmitted the blog and now will wait to see what happens. I believe the blog I submitted must be at least 30 days old by now. Payperpost now had some things that I could add to  my blog while I was waiting for approval, so I did just that. Blogsvertise is another avenue I have chosen to generate income from blogging. I submitted a blog site to them a few weeks ago and although they have approved my blog I have not gotten anything from them yet. I found out some information, just yesterday, that they do a page ranking (??). Up until yesterday I had no idea what this was. So today I am a little wiser, but no richer. Maybe I did not read carefully enough everything I should have at Blogsvertise.

Well so my journey continues. I will stay on top of things now with Payperpost and Blogsvertise and hopefully my ship really will come in.

I think I have finally gotten it. In order for a blog or website to do well number wise you need to generate traffic. But how do you do that? If you are new to blogging it can be a daunting task. There are many ways and many blogs that will give you tips on how to generate traffic. Today I used the google keyword tool and entered in the phrase increase blog traffic. I found and read several articles giving great tips. Here is a summary of suggestions I found that I think might be helpful for myself:

1. Use primary keywords in title of posts
2. Use secondary keywords in the body of posts
3. Ping blog services (I will need to get more info on how this works but it is something I may want to try) http://pingomatic.com
4. Post legitimate comments on other blogs or articles read (I already do this but may want to start doing more in future)
5. Edit blog posts into articles
6. Submit blog and RSS feed to directories- http://www.masternewmedia.org/rss/top55/
7. Write something that others will want to read
8. Stumble it using StumbleUpon (will need to get more info on how this works but it may be worth a try).

Today I spent some time on the job bank. I haven’t been on this site for quite awhile. I have an account with the job bank so I spent my time reviewing and updating my resume. After which I needed to re-advertise them. I have three all together on the job bank. They do the matching for me and notify me by email if there is something that matches my resume. Hopefully something will come of my efforts today. I just need to remain positive!

Once done with this I went onto the Kelly Career Network and revamped my resumes there as well. I find that this site caters to the US and not Canada. I thought that seeing as I am looking for a teleworking position that this might be helpful anyway.

So that is how my day has gone so far. I will need to take a look through more of my addresses and see where else I have an electronic resume that I might be able to revamp and restart.

Well, they say you learn something new everyday, today did not disappoint. The other day I had someone who commented on one of my articles, claimed they wanted to link to my site. I thought they must have a website that had something in common with mine and this would be a great way to get extra traffic to this blog. Well I believe the links came through today, I viewed one and was greatly disgusted. For those of you who read or have read my blog, in case you had not noticed it has nothing to do with any type of nude pictures of anyone or anything. I quickly deleted the two comments and hope and pray that no others come through.

The lesson learned here is that I need to check out these things out first before offering to link to other sites or have someone link to mine. I want to generate traffic to my site but there is a limit to the way in which I want to accomplish this. I will be emailing this person and asking him not to send anything anymore.

I just wanted to do a quick post here today. I don’t really have a lot of time to spend on the computer these days. I have been using Entrecard and it seems to be working quite well, although I consider myself a new learner on it. I also submitted one of my other blogs for Blogsvertise. I have been approved so now I guess I just wait for something from someone. I don’t know if anyone else out there has or is using this, if you are please let me know how you have found it. I am still using Blogsoldiers as well. Along with these things I still go to Easyhits4u occassionally. I figured if I was truly wanting to generate income from my blogs and writing I had better do something to get traffic to them. So far Entrecard and Blogsoldiers are the two that are consistant with sending the greatest amount of traffic here. Of course, that may be because they are the ones I use the most often. I find now days that I spend most of my time just trying to get traffic to my blogs, I may now need to look at getting back into writing articles and blogging.
