Blogging for pay can be quite a difficult and time consuming project. First you need to have something unique to say or something that others want to hear. This is easier if you do a google key word search first to find out what people are reading in the first place. For this to be effective I believe that you need to have some type of idea of what you want to write about to start with.

You need to post entries on your blog that have catchy titles. After you have posted to your blog you then need to drive traffic to the blog. This alone can be time consuming because it requires that you spend time reading and commenting on other blogs or finding some other way of getting people to read what you have just written. Some ways of doing this are using Entrecard, StumbleUpon, Blogsoldiers, and Easyhits4u as just some examples.

If you find that you are pressed for time and can’t spend 23 out of 24 hours on the computer and you may want to try advertising as a way to blog for pay. This works really well if you have a good page rank or have regular traffic to your blog to start with. Some ways to do this are through sites such as bidvertiser, amazon, and ad sense for google.

I don’t want to discourage anyone from blogging for pay, I just wanted to let you know the reality of making a huge amount of $$$ from blogging may not happen overnight (unless you are very lucky). If you are diligent and persistent you may be able to make a little bit of cash to maybe pay one or two small bills at the end of the month. In reality the bloggers that are making the big $$$ have been writing for a long time-years in fact, and they know the best ways of getting their blogs noticed. You can follow their advise and, as I stated previously, if you are diligent you too may be able to join the ranks of the paid bloggers making big money.

Well today I spent time going through my comments section. I still can’t believe the things that I get sent, however, I do get some very interesting comments as well and I do go and visit the site of the commenter. I get to see some pretty interesting today.com blogs this way.

I have not had much time since last week to do anything on the computer what with 2 doctors visits out to Edmonton (when I need to go there it usually ends up taking up much of the day), and I seem to have picked up a bug that has turned into bronchitis. So today is the first day that I have felt like doing anything other than lounging around.

Well, I guess I need to finish this off as it is time for me to take more cough medicine before I hack my head off.

Working from home can be a daunting process. We all have distractions in some form be it family, friends, or just needing to spend some time doing something fun for yourself. If you want to succeed you will need to manage your time wisely. Here are some time management strategies that you may want to incorporate into your daily life.

1. Get yourself a day timer.
2. Make a “Things to do list”.
3. Separate this list into categories (i.e. personal, leisure, blogging or article writing).
4. Into the day timer enter the things you do daily for personal, leisure, and blogging or article writing activities (best to do these entries in pencil).
5. Do entries for a week at a time (don’t worry if you need to change entries as the week progresses). Make sure to include any outside appointments you need to attend to.
6. Check your schedule daily and make sure you follow it.

The above time management strategies should help you to stay focused and on target each day as you diligently work from home. Remember that if you have entered an item earlier in the week and now you realize you will not be able to complete the task, it is o.k., just erase the entry and enter whatever you need to now. Nothing is set in stone here. Things do pop up that we need to deal with so cut yourself some slack. It may be easier to focus on your work from home activities if you have scheduled the time and manage it well.

At the beginning of the New Year I had mentioned that I would be concentrating more on article writing as a way to earn money working from home. I have been checking out some other article publishing arenas for work from home options. While looking for other places to publish articles I found  http://www.reviewme.com/. Has anyone else heard about them? I read some articles about them while researching Reviewme and it did not sound very good. One article I read mentioned they scam their publishers. Is anyone currently doing anything with Reviewme? Are they scamming publishers or is this just an isolated incident? I would appreciate hearing from you if you have any information about Reviewme.

Today I spent some time submitting an article to Triond. It is amazing how things change from one week to the next. The last time I submitted an article to Triond it was published right away. Today I play the waiting game. Oh well what can I do?

I have been checking my stats for this blog since I started using pingomatic, google keyword search tool, and StumbleUpon and have noticed a daily increase in readership. I have gone from 9-12 a day to 25-50 visits per day. One day I noticed I had 117. Now this is not in the vicinity of some of the other great blogs here at today.com (check them out on my blogroll) but it is steadily increasing. This is a good thing. I will keep thinking positive thoughts and keep up my efforts and hopefully one day…

My accomplishments may be small now but any increase in readership and $$$ is a good thing (at least to my way of thinking).
