Traffic Tickets Pile Up on Van Containing Dead Body!
I was checking the news stories for today to see if I could come up with something interesting to post about today. I came across this article about police in NY leaving a stack of traffic tickets on a van while a dead body lay decomposing in it. The police claim that because the van had tinted windows they could not see inside.
According to the article the victims daughter claims that one window was cracked open. So, did they not smell anything either? If a body is decomposing there is usually a foul odour attached to it. Even if they didn’t smell anything, one would think that after leaving a couple of traffic tickets over a week or so one of the officers would have checked on the vehicle to find out why it was still sitting there.
The daughter also claims that her father had been missing since May and that she had called police to notify them of his disappearance. The police have no record of a missing persons report.
How busy must the police in NY be to ticket a vehicle, over the course of several weeks at the same spot, and not even take a minute or two to look inside the vehicle? Is it just me or is this a little scary?
