We Are What We Repeatedly Do!

Published by carfor12 at 11:26 am under Uncategorized Edit This

Is anyone familiar with the quote by Aristotle “We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, therefore, is not an act but a habit.”? I was looking for some inspiration today as it seems I can’t get my act together to get anything accomplished lately.  I have been having some difficulty staying on a budget. For some reason I fall back into old habits of not saying no and it ends up costing me financially in the end. I think it is very interesting that this is the quote that popped up today.

If it is true that we are what we repeatedly do than it would seem that if things are not working you would need to change something. If we repeatedly do nothing but sit and fret and worry about our circumstances than that is what we are-worriers and freters-who are not capable of action.  If we take action, it is the wrong action taken by not listening to our intuition. To achieve excellence one would therefore need to take action, listen to our intuition, and repeatedly strive for excellence in order for it to become a habit.

This begs me to ask myself a couple of questions. Am I really looking for excellence in my life? Do I feel worthy of excellence? Well I will need to take the time today to ponder these questions and see what answers I come up with.

Happy reading and have a great day!

My opinion, action on relationships is 100 times more significant than excellence. cheers buzzirk
